  1.                      Marriage Search - Version 1.3

  4.      The Personal Ancestry File (PAF) genealogy system marketed
  5. by The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints is the most
  6. popular genealogy program on the market today.  One of its short-
  7. comings, however, it that it offers no way to search its files for
  8. marriage data.  I have written a program to overcome this problem.
  9.  
  10.      These are preliminary instructions for running MSRCH.EXE.  
  11. It is a program that searches PAF files for marriage data.  The 
  12. following is a brief listing of the options:
  13.  
  14.      1.  Path - lets you enter the path to the PAF files and save it
  15. for later usage if desired.
  16.  
  17.      2.  Location - allows the user to enter a marriage location for
  18. which to limit the search.  For instance if you enter al in the
  19. location field, marriages from ALabama; MarshALl Co., TN; ALice, TX; 
  20. etc. would be found if they were in the files.

  22.      3.  Low date - allows the user to set a lower date for which to 
  23. limit the search.
  24.  
  25.      4.  High date - allows the user to set an upper date for which to 
  26. limit the search.
  27.  
  28.      5.  Groom's name - allows the user to enter a name (or portion of
  29. a name) for which to limit the search.
  30.  
  31.      6.  Bride's name - allows the user to enter a name (or portion of
  32. a name) for which to limit the search.
  33.  
  34.      7.  Output - allows the user to direct the output to screen, disk,
  35. or printer.

  38.      This program is marketed under the shareware concept.  If you use
